Dear Parents,
Today was our day in Montreal. We had a wonderful time.
So back to the morning. After a one hour drive, we were in Montreal. We started off our day by going to the Musee Pointe a Caliere, one of Martine`s favorite. We learned about the discovery of Canada, and the first French immigrants who built the city of Montreal.
At noon, we had lunch at the Biodome. We had a chicken sandwich, carrot sticks, fruit juice, and a choclate muffin for desert.
The children took many beautiful pictures of the animals at the Biodome. We also visited the insectarium... The teachers do not like animals that crawl, or have more than 2 legs... but the children liked them! And, just before we left to go back to camp it happened. It started to rain!
On the way back to camp, we stopped at the mall for beavertail. Some of you might wonder what this is so we will tell you. It is a Canadian specialty (fried dough with your choice of toppings. toppings included: nutella, nutella with bananas, cinnamon, cinnamon with lemon, maple butter with chocolate, chocolate with peanut butter). The children liked them so much that some of them actually bought themselves a second one.
After that, we headed back to camp, had diner (mushroom soup, mystery crepe farcie with a white sauce and for desert: apple cobbler). Now, the children are playing games.

Et certains se demandent pourquoi je publie ces messages et surtout pourquoi on nous les envoie ? Et bien cela fera partie des archives de la famille. Des petites nouvelles comme cela c'est bien sympa tout de même. Non ce n'est pas big brother !!
Mon meilleur souvenir de la FASSV est notre merveilleuse semaine passée au Québec.
On a fait beaucoup de sport : basketball, football (soccer), hockey, escalade, ‘ultimate frisbee’…On a aussi visité Québec et Montréal. On a fait une ‘disco boum’ la veille de notre retour à San Francisco.-Amélia
C’est quand on était dans l’avion en partant du Québec parce qu’on a bien joué et mangé dans l’avion.-Hind
C’est quand on a fait la disco boom au Québec et qu’une chauve -souris est rentrée dans la grande salle.-Siddartha
C’est quand on regardait les films avec Marie –Claire en CM1-Madelaine
C’est quand on était en sciences avec Josie et on parlait d’astéroïdes quand une lumière est tombée sur la tête de Théa -Kay
C’est quand le café de Louise a explosé dans le four à micro-ondes-Lev
C’est quand on est allé au Québec-Boyd
C’est quand on a fait beaucoup d’activités au Québec-Théa
C’est quand j’ai dansé avec Penny et aussi quand on a lancé les chapeaux à la graduation-Floriane
C’est quand on est parti au Québec-Thomas
C’est quand j’ai fait un labyrinthe de 21 pages en CE1-Peregrine
C’est quand on a jeté les chapeaux en l’air le jour de la graduation – Thomas
le voyage au Québec et la graduation- Sébastien.

Quebec Favorites
During the week of May 14-21, 2009, the fifth grade class took their annual trip to Quebec, Canada. The students enjoyed this trip a great deal. From this trip, they had many fond memories. Here are their favorite memories from our trip:
- I enjoyed shopping in Quebec City. (Thomas)
